WHY IS FDOT STUDYING THESE CORRIDORS?

FDOT wants to be proactive in planning for a safe and efficient corridor.

  • Interstate 4 and Interstate 75 has experienced an increase in traffic driven by many factors including population growth, development, additional tourism and special events.
  • These traffic increases have led to a number of safety and transportation issues.
  • The Master Plan will document current and future needs along the interstate and provide a set of recommended priorities for implementation.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

  • FDOT is planning extensive public outreach, and will be announcing our meetings through mailouts, news outlets, by emails and various other media. In order to develop the best plan, we need your input. We will provide multiple avenues for ongoing public engagement to ensure the plan incorporates the needs and concerns of local communities and provides appropriate recommendations.
  • FDOT will work with local communities and public officials to get ideas on how the public involvement effort will proceed and to understand corridor needs based on input from the communities.
  • Public participation in this program is encouraged. Please visit this website often for the most up-to-date project information and to view a list of upcoming events. Use one of our convenient and user-friendly contact forms to sign up for periodic email updates or to submit a comment.
  • Given the diverse nature of the corridor, effective communication and engagement will be conducted throughout the study effort.
